Governance

The Sierra Club Foundation ensures effective governance through an independent, volunteer Board of Directors and periodic evaluation of the Board’s performance.

The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the mission and strategic direction for the Foundation and for overseeing its finances, operations, and governance policies. The Board of Directors regularly reviews the operations and policies of the Foundation to ensure that they comply with all legal requirements and reflect the best practices in the field.
